COLORS OF BHUTAN (continued)

Our website will host a variety of these intricate designs and patterns tailored into items for use in the living rooms, dining rooms and garments suited for international taste. One of the biggest demands that we get for our products are the 100 % vegetable dyed products produced at the National handloom Development Project in Khaling, Eastern Bhutan, a project which trains women in the art of weaving and help them become self sustainable.

Besides weaving, Bhutanese craftsmen are skilled artists in the field of metal crafts, paintings, carving, bamboo work and clay work. Items of different workmanship have been placed on this site for people interested in this tiny Himalayan Kingdom and its culture.

The Handicrafts Emporium acts as a marketing outlet for all the handicraft products produced by the rural craftsmen and women. We are a non-profit organization aimed to help these rural people supplement their agricultural income.
